Meltzer's ingredients are not basic candy ones - we use pure oils, organic beneficial herbs and standardized herbal extracts and we are not going to compromise quality in order to sell a cheap product. Meltzer's has started the transition to pouches, with our DGL Licorice now in pouches. Our pouches are made here in the USA - the vast majority of tins are made overseas, and use a huge amount of energy, as well as wasteful packaging materials, to transport to the USA and then again to ship out to customers. We are excited to stop this wasteful process. Our new pouches also keep product fresher longer, reducing oxygen and moisture within the packaging.
